Is the intention that the contract
should be let at the start of January. Before
then, the Government will prepare the necessary
temporary arrangements to enable the PAA to take
possession of the land required for this contract
to start.

decision was taken not to proceed with the Build,
Operate and Transfer arrangement for the Lantau
Fixed Crossing. Attached to the list is,
therefore, a summary of the five contracts which
Government now intends to let to construct the
Crossing (two for the bridges, two for road links
to them, and one for traffic control). Your
attention is drawn to the fact that public
