permanent power cables to new airport are laid, this 11kV cable will become obsolete and be removed by your company. Maintaining the 11kV cable will be made by liaison between your District Manager and the airport contractors.
The new airport is vital to the continuous economic growth of Hong Hong and any delay will be detrimental to the whole society. As explained, I foresee no significant adverse effects to your operations as a result of activities at Chek Lap Kok and through proper co-ordination, any disturbance and conflict can be avoided.
In view of the foregoing, would you now
now consider formally withdrawing your objection to Gazette Notice No. 452 under the Foreshore and Seabed (Reclamations) Ordinance relating to the Replacement Airport at Chek Lap Kok. If you wish to discuss any of these issues further, please contact
