But the Shenzhen That sounds dangerously hypothetical. airport, the one that is being talked about, if my memory serves me correct, it is the one being built at Huangtian, and it is quite a way up. I don't think it is as well placed to serve Hong Kong as a commercial centre as is Chek Lap Kok.
I think Chek Lap Kok is a better site as far as Hong Kong is concerned. Neither do I think that an airport at CLK, Chek Lap Kok, conflicts in any way with the Shenzhen airport. The Chinese have said from time to time that Shenzhen would be used largely for domestic purposes. think it is worth remembering that major cities in the world I am a little more familiar have many airports around them.
