Establish a body to be known as the Provisional Airport Authority and

to define its functions.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and

consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

1.

Short title

This Ordinance may be cited as the Provisional Airport Authority

Ordinance 1990.

2.

Interpretation

In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires

"the Authority" (5) means the Provisional Airport Authority;

"financial year" ( ) means a financial year of the

Authority;

"foreshore and sea-bed" () has the meaning assigned to

it by the Foreshore and Sea-bed (Reclamations) Ordinance (Cap.

127);

"functions" () includes powers and duties;

"land" (±) includes buildings and other structures, the

foreshore and sea-bed and any other land covered with water and

also includes any wayleave or other easement or any other right

in, on or over any land;

"provide" () includes supply and carry out, cause to be

supplied or carried out and maintain;
