THE BRITISH HIGH COMMISSION AT WELLINGTON ΤΟ THE MINISTRY OF EXTERNAL RELATIONS AND TRADE OF NEW ZEALAND

The British High

High Commission present their compliments to the Ministry of External Relations and Trade and have the honour to refer to the Agreement between the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Government of New Zealand concerning air services, done at London on 4 October 1982, as modified by subsequent Memoranda, and to propose that:-

Hong Kong shall cease to be regarded as territory of the United Kingdom for the purposes of

the purposes of the said Agreement except, until 30 June 1997, for the purposes of Article 3(3) thereof;

the Route Schedule annexed to the Agreement shall be replaced by the Annex to this Note.

If the foregoing proposal is acceptable to the Government of New Zealand the High Commission have the honour to suggest that the present Note and the Ministry's reply to that effect shall constitute an Agreement between the two Governments which shall enter into force on the date on which an Air Services Agreement between the Government of New Zealand and the Government of Hong Rong enters into force.

The British High Commission avail themselves of this opportunity to renew to the Ministry of External

External Relations and Trade the assurances of their highest consideration.
