Survey of Ivory Trade Legislation

I refer to my letters of 18 February and 12 April 1990

on the captioned subject.

The CITES Secretariat wishes to notify CITES Parties about the updated situation of ivory control in Hong Kong and has made a draft text. Copy of the Secretariat's correspondance is enclosed.

I have made some amendments to the text in the draft reply enclosed. I should be grateful for your comment before I reply to the Secretariat.
