Hong Kong: Ivory
The Secretary of State has heard about the article in the Independent on Sunday which alleges that the UK is to breach the ban on trade in ivory through Hong Kong by new means (I think it refers to the
The movement of ivory as "personal effects"). Secretary of State would be grateful to know if there is any basis for this story (which I see was also run in the Mail on Sunday). If, as he hopes, we can refute it, he would like a written PQ to be inspired before the Parliamentary recess. I should be grateful for advice.
