1. I attach a copy of a submission which recommended in paragraph 2(b) the text of an inspired PQ on the progress of Hong Kong's legislation to implement the CITES ban on trade in ivory.

2. The text agreed by the Secretary of State is also attached and I should be grateful if you could arrange for it to be tabled as soon as possible.

3. I am also copying the papers to PS/Lord Brabazon in case it is decided to table the question in the House of Lords as well.
