COPYRIGHT (TAIWAN) ORDER 1985: EXTENSION TO HONG KONG

I refer to your letter of 9 January and my subsequent telephone call to your office.

As I indicated over the 'phone we see some problems, principally because the 1985 Order to which the draft Hong Kong Order refers has been revoked. I enclose copies of exchanges here on the subject.

I think this is entirely a legal problem (we have no policy objections to Hong Kong protecting Taiwanese works) and it may be best if your lawyers talk direct to ours. Daleep Mangat (215/3472).
