6. Access to DTI/FCO services is primarily through DTI regional offices and, in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, through the appropriate regional offices. Last year the Goverment spent £122 million, net of receipts, on the provision of export services. 1600 staff at home and overseas (in FCO posts) provide support to exporters. There are 190 FCO offices offering commercial services throughout the world.
