been answered in terms of the book value of UK direct investment
in Hong Kong, the latest information being for end-1987.

There is no information either on the market value of UK
direct investment in Hong Kong or on UK portfolio holdings in
Hong Kong.

20 February, on the size of UK assets in Hong Kong, resulted in
correspondence disputing the reply given. (See attached).
