Hang Lung Bank, Limited are banks licensed under the Banking Ordinance and are incorporated in Hong Kong.

The Bill provides for the vesting of the undertaking of Dao Heng Bank Limited in Hang Lung Bank, Limited on the appointed day. (section 6), for the change of name and revocation of the banking licence of Dao Heng Bank, Limited and the change of name of Hang Lung Bank, Limited (section 4), for the repeal of certain provisions of the Hang Lung Bank (Acquisition) Ordinance (section 5) and contains a number of supplementary provisions relating, inter alia, to the vesting in relation to trusts and wills (section 7), the accounting treatment of Dao Heng Bank Limited and Hang Lung Bank, Limited (section 9), the relationship with customers, borrowers, employees and other third parties (sections 8, 10 and 11) and evidence (sections 12 to 14).
