RN HONG KONG SQN PATROL CRAFT (PC)

The RN Hong Kong Sqn currently operates, inter alia, 5
Details of the funding, purpose-built Peacock Class PC. operations, maintenance and roles of these vessels are contained in Annex G. The PC are the RN's only permanent presence in the Far East and they participate regularly in FPDA exercises and conduct visits to countries on the western rim of the Pacific region, although these activities are not directly related to their role in Hong Kong.
HONG KONG MARINE POLICE EXPANSION
55. The MARPOL expansion plan requires the purchase of 2 new sector command (SC) vessels in 1987 and 3 more by 1991. MARPOL do not propose to purchase the RN PC for this purpose but have not yet announced the type of vessel they intend to acquire, although HKG intend that they will be capable of carrying out all the tasks within Hong Kong waters currently
