You asked last week for a rough breakdown of the Hong Kong garrison's manpower.

After we spoke I received definitive figures from HQBF, and these are attached. You will notice that the reduction compared with the earlier figures stems mainly from the Gurkhas, 1,900 of whom are in-theatre but not actually in Hong Kong itself.
