Announcement of the decision to withdraw the first
battalion in 1992 will have been made.

(2) Take fourth battalion as a fixed point, ie 1997, and discuss the options for the withdrawal of the second and
third battalions between 1994 and 1997 based on the political and threat sections to produce a firm operational requirement. Include an assumption that the last battalion
out will not be a Gurkha battalion (if supported by the political discussion).'
