Research talks. If research talks (eg with close allies) are held affecting your area, RAD will consult you about
the timing and agenda. If talks are held in London, your
Department will be invited to attend. You will receive a
summary record.
(viii) Travel. Our Departments will consult each other about the
timing and objectives of familiarisation/research visits
abroad. Each will ensure that the other receives a copy of any resulting reports.
(ix) Major policy papers. RAD should be consulted at an early

Briefing. Your Department will arrange for diplomatic staff taking up an appointment in your area to visit RAD
for briefing.
Regular contacts. Research and desk officers will meet
regularly to discuss current concerns.
