Present Position

Commonwealth War Graves Commission asked the FCO to include this subject as a JLG agenda item. HKG is considering their request for a WGA for the purpose of protecting their status, functions and responsibilities in respect of Commonwealth War Graves and Memorials in Hong Kong before and after 1997. FCO legal advisers considering feasibility

of a WGA before 1997 with members of the CWGC except UKG which will become a signatory after 1997.
