We, having seen and considered the Convention and Protocol
aforesaid, have approved, accepted and confirmed the same in all
and every one of their Articles and Clauses, as e do by these
Presents approve, accept, confirm and ratify them for Ourselves,
Our Heirs and Successors; engaging and promising upon Our
Royal ord that We will sincerely and faithfully perform and
observe all and singular the things which are contained and
expressed in the Convention and Protocol aforesaid, and that e
will never suffer the same to be violated by anyone, or
transgressed in any manner, as far as it lies in Our power;
provided however that this Our Ratification shall not be deemed
to apply in the case of the Dominions of Canada, the Commonwealth
of Australia for any territory under its authority) or the Irish
Free State; or in the case.
and provided further
that in pursuance of the power reserved in Article 29 of the
Convention it shall not be deemed to apply in the case of Our
Island of lewfoundland or of the following territories in
respect of which We have accepted a marcate from the League of
Nations: Irak and L&uru; without prejudice however to Our
right of subsequent ratification or accession on behalf of any
or all of the above Dominions or territories.
