Your Excellency,

I have the honour, on instructions from Her Majesty's Principal Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, to refer to the reservation made by the United Kingdom of -Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Article 2 of the

Additional Protocol to the Convention concerning Customs Facilities for Touring, relating to the Importation of Tourist Publicity Documents and Material which was opened for signature at New York on the 4th of June, 1954. This reservation is set out in the Final Act of the United Nations Conference on Customs Formalities for the Temporary Importation of Private Road Motor Vehicles and for Tourism of 1954 and in the United Kingdom Instrument af Ratification of the said Convention and Protocol which was deposited on the 27th of February, 1956.

In view of the fact that the United Kingdom has been giving full effect to Article 2 of the Additional Protocol since the 1st of January, 1959, I now have the honour to inform Your Excellency that the United Kingdom hereby withdraws the said reservation.
