The Government of
has the honour to refer to the amendment of Article I(a) of the Plant Protection Agreement for the Asia and Pacific Region, the purpose of which is to include the People's Republic of China in the definition of the Region, approved by Resolution 1/84 of the Eighty-fourth Session of the FAO Council (1-3 November 1983).
The Government of
having considered the proposed amendment, hereby accepts the amendment in accordance with the provisions laid down in the first sentence of paragraph 4, Article IX of the Agreement.
