Draft Recommendations and Amendments

Delegates who wish to submit draft recommendations or other documents requiring a decision by the Conference are requested to deposit their texts in Chinese, English or French with the Conference Secretary if possible in four typewritten copies. The Secretariat will translate and reproduce only draft recommendations and resolutions. Delegations wishing to circulate other written material related to the Agenda of the Conference are requested to deliver 100 copies in English, 25 in French and 15 in Chinese to the Secretariat for distribution.
Advance Communication of Text of Speeches and Statements

To facilitate the task of the Secretariat and the work of the interpreters, it would be appreciated if prepared texts of speeches could be forwarded in advance, in five typewritten copies, to the Conference Secretary.
Correspondence
10. All correspondence concerning the Regional Conference should be addressed to the Conference Secretary at the FAO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, Maliwan Mansion, Phra Atit Road, Bangkok 10200, Thailand (Cable: FOODAGRI, BANGKOK (Telex: 82815 FOODAG TH BANGKOK) (Tel: 281-7884). During the Conference the address is: Twentieth FAO Regional Conference for Asia and the Pacific, Kunlun Hotel, P.O. Box 9409, Beijing, China. 100004 (Telex: 210327 BJKLH CN) (Tel: 5003388). Copies should also be sent to the Director, GIC Division, FAO, Rome, Italy.

12. Postal and telegraphic services will be available to delegates and observers on the Conference premises.
Entry Formalities to China
13. Delegates and observers who require an entry visa for China are advised to obtain one from a Chinese Consulate or diplomatic mission before their departure for the Conference. To this end they should communicate to the Liaison Officer in Beijing as soon as possible the following passport details: full name, date and place of birth, nationality, official title, passport number, date of issuance, issuing authority and date of expiry, place where visa is to be issued, country or organization to be represented.

On arrival at Beijing International Airport, participants will be met and entrance formalities (customs, immigration, etc.) will be facilitated provided they inform Mr Huang Yongning in advace by letter, cable or telex of the date and hours of their arrival and their flight number.
15. Those participants who supply this information in advance will be accompanied to their hotel.

Participants are advised to mark their luggage clearly in order to facilitate identification and to avoid any difficulties on arrival at the airport.
