ARTICLE 27
EFFECTIVE DATE AND EFFECTIVENESS
This Contract is signed by the duly authorized representatives of the Parties and shall enter into force immediately upon the signature by both Parties.
This Contract, including all its Annexes, comprises the entire understanding between the Parties with respect to the subject of this Contract and all prior agreements, discussions, representations, warranties or statements by the Parties are hereby superseded unless they are expressly incorporated in this Contract by the terms
hereof.
In the event that the Client, after utilizing its best efforts, is unable to obtain authorization on or before April 1, 1989, from the Coordinating Committee for Multilateral Export Controls and from the Office of Munitions Control of the U.S. government for the transport of the Payload to, and presence of the Payload in, the People's Republic of China for launching, then the Client shall be entitled to terminate this Contract by giving notice thereof to CGWIC and in such case CGWIC shall refund to the Client all payments made by the Client to CGWIC under this Contract and neither Party shall have any further obligation under this Contract.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Parties have executed this Contract at Beijing, China on the 23rd day of January, 1989.
