4.3 Group Delay Ripple

In

The total group delay ripple as measured from the RF input to the RF output of the transmission channel shall not exceed 1.5 ns peak-to-peak. this specification, ripple is defined as having a period corresponding to

10 MHz or less.

4.4 Group Delay Stability

Variations in group delay during eclipse operation, measured at any or ±15 percent of point on the group delay curve, shall not exceed 10.95 ns the total group delay listed in 4.2, whichever is the larger.

5.0 TRANSPONDER CHANNEL PHASE RESPONSE

The transponder phase response acceptable crosstalk requirements.

5.1 Total Phase Shift

shall be consistent

with meeting

The total phase shift when using the TWTAS shall not exceed the values given in Table B-8, where total phase shift is defined as the maximum shift of carrier phase when a single unmodulated carrier is varied from the level specified in Table B-8 to 30 dB below the level required for saturation.

5.2 AM/PM Conversion Coefficient

The AM/PM conversion coefficient, defined as the slope of the total phase shift characteristic, shall be less than 4.0° per dB for TWTA operation.
