The delivered software shall include, in addition to special purpose software developed by the Contractor, all pertinent software supplied by the computer manufacturer including, as a minimum:

6.5 Reliability and Backup

The computer system shall be configured so that the failure of any critical unit (CPU, disc, etc.) can be corrected with on-site equipment.

Recovery from single

from single point computer or critical peripheral failure shall be accomplished with no significant hardware configuration and system operation shall be restored in not more than fifteen (15) minutes.

Where possible, fault diagnosis and maintenance of peripheral equipment shall be accomplished on-line by the use of such techniques as on-line diagnostics and mechanisms to isolate failed equipment from the system without halting normal system operation.

6.6 Software Standards

Programs shall be written in a current computer-manufacturer supported version of a high level language (e.g. FORTRAN, PASCAL, ALGOL) in a well structure, modular fashion. Where appropriate and necessary some programs may be written in assembler. Sufficient comments shall be included in the source code to make the individual programs essentially self-documenting. The full source code shall be supplied for all systems programs, with the possible exception of any manufacturer-supplied operating system, in both printed and machine-readable form if permitted.

The computer manufacturer-supplied software products included with the system shall not be modified by the Contractor
