LIST OF PROFESSIONAL AND EXECUTIVE RECRUITMENT AGENCIES
I have spoken recently with a member of your section about the possibility of producing a selective list of registered recruitment agencies.

The reason for this is that many years ago the British Government, in a White Paper, said it would assist members of Her Majesty's Overseas Civil Service (HMOCS) in finding employment in the UK, if they decided to return here after the independence of the Dependent Territory in which they were serving. It is possible that in the future members of HMOCS in Hong Kong will wish to pursue this promise of assistance.

In past years the principal means of assistance was the Overseas Resettlement Bureau. This however is longer in existence and as a result I need to identify new ways assisting members of HMOCS looking for work in the UK. One way may be to provide them with a list of select
"Government-approved" recruitment agencies. I understand that your offices have issued licences to a great number of agencies but I wonder if it would be possible to compile a list of about 20-30, of the most established professional/executive recruitment agencies. would it be possible to give some sort of advice or guidance on dealing with these recruitment organisations?
