2. I have two amendments to statements attributed to me. The first in paragraph 9 where my comment should be expanded to say

to

"Mr Fish said that the Carr-Robertson assurance was intended guarantee the payment of pensions which were already the subject of protection under POAS.

This is important because it may ultimately be highly significant that Carr-Robertson applies to pensions which have the benefit of a sterling safeguard.

3. The second amendment relates to paragraph 17 where HK$ 300m should read "£(St) 300 million". We would need help from Hong Kong to produce an accurate figure but you will appreciate the importance of the correction.
