Amendment
In paragraph 3 in the definition of "handicapped" repeal "or the Director of Hospital Services of the Hospital Services Department of the Government" and substitute "of the Government or the Hospital Authority within the meaning of the Hospital Authority Ordinance 1990 (68 of 1990)".
In the Fourth Schedule, item 18, repeal "and Hospital Services Department of the Government" and substitute "of the Government and the Hospital Authority within the meaning of the Hospital Authority Ordinance 1990 (68 of 1990)".

(i) in subsection (1) in the definition of "medical officer" add "or the Hospital Authority within the meaning of the Hospital Authority Ordinance 1990 (68 of 1990)" after "Government"; and
(ii) in subsection (2) repeal "Director of Hospital Services" and substitute "Hospital Authority within the meaning of the Hospital Authority Ordinance 1990 (68 of 1990)".
(b) In section 42B(6)(c) repea! “Director of Hospital Services"
and substitute "Secretary for Health and Welfare". (c) In section 51(1)(b) and (2)(b)(i) add “or Hospital Authority (within the meaning of the Hospital Authority Ordinance 1990 (68 of 1990)) psychiatric clinic" after "clinic". (d) In sections 59A(2)(b) and (9) and 70(3) repeal “Director of Hospital Services" and substitute "Hospital Authority within the meaning of the Hospital Authority Ordinance 1990 (68 of 1990)”.
(a) In the proviso to regulation 5(2) repeal "Director of
Hospital Services" and substitute "Secretary for Health and Welfare, to the Hospital Authority within the meaning of the Hospital Authority Ordinance 1990 (68 of 1990)". (b) In Forms 4, 6 and 7 in the Schedule repeal "Director of
Hospital Services" (wherever occurring) and substitute "Hospital Authority within the meaning of the Hospital Authority Ordinance 1990 (68 of 1990)”.
(c) In Form 12 in the Schedule repeal "Director of Hospital Services" and substitute "Secretary for Health and Welfare".
In section 3(2) add after paragraph (da)--
"(db) one member to be nominated by the Hospital Authority within the meaning of the Hospital Authority Ordinance 1990 (68 of 1990) and appointed by the Governor;".
(a) In section 2 in the definition of "Director" repeal "Nursing Director of the Hospital Services Department" and substitute "head of the nursing service in the Department of Health".
(b) In section 3(2) add after paragraph (da) —
"(db) one member to be nominated by the Hospital Authority within the meaning of the Hospital Authority Ordinance 1990 (68 of 1990) and appointed by the Governor;".
