Your innocent little phrase that most Hong Kong pensioners continue to do reasonably well, is going to cause
is going to cause us problems? We have now had another letter from J G Mansell on the same subject in addition to the two that I sent you earlier. You will see that Mr Mansell, whom I do not know, is equating himself to a UK public service counterpart who is now getting a bigger pension. Perhaps you could comment on this comparison.

As regards the letters from Mr Blye and Mr Watson, I now attach revised drafts and should be grateful for your comments. In particular I would be grateful for your confirmation that the section on the raison d'etre for SPOS in the letter to Mr Watson is factually accurate.
