At Reference A I forwarded a request from the Korean Defence Attaché for advise on the acceptability of their plan to establish a "Defence Office" in Hong Kong. After getting advice from the FCO (and from the colony), your advice at Reference B was transmitted to Captain Yoon.

He has returned to the fray with the attached which renames the proposed office a "military liaison office" with similar responsibilities to those of the US office already established.

3.

I have acknowledged the letter and I would be grateful for any further advice on this matter that I could pass to the Korean Attaché.
