The Bahamas High Commissioner to the UK, Dr Patricia Rodgers, telephoned me yesterday. She said that her Government wished to appoint, as a matter of urgency, an Honorary Consul in Hong Kong and asked if we might be able to recommend two or three suitable candidates.

I am not sure that it would be appropriate for us to take this on, although if we can offer Dr Rodgers help or advice I should like to do so.
