The Consul-General of Costa Rica and Doyen of the Consular Corps presents his compliments to the Chief Secretary of the Government Secretariat, and on behalf of the Consular Corps wishes to refer to the recent media reports on the "arrest" by the ICAC of the Head of a Consular Mission in Hong Kong and the reported statement by the Director of Protocol thereon.
In this connection, the Consular Corps would appreciate receiving clarification from the Government Secretariat on the circumstances which surround the matter as well as on the statement by Government officials regarding an. officially recognised Head of Mission.
The Consul-General of Costa Rica and Doyen of the Consular Corps avails himself of this opportunity to renew to the Chief Secretary of the Government Secretariat the assurances of his highest consideration.
