Protocol Department present their compliments to the Irish Embassy
and, with reference to the Embassy's Note of 13 March 1990 about
the proposed appointment of Mr Desmond Anthony Marron as Honorary
Consul of the Republic of Ireland in Hong Kong, have the honour
to state that the appointment would be acceptable to Her Majesty's
Government.
On receipt of a notification of appointment steps will be taken to
accord Mr Marron recognition in his consular capacity.
Protocol Department avail themselves of this opportunity to express
to the Irish Embassy the assurance of their high consideration.
