Thank you for your letter of 22 March requesting details relating to the 60 cases of maltreatment or abuse which I had referred to.

I attach a table which summarises the action taken in the 60 cases. You will see that, although by no means all cases resulted in a conviction, all 60 domestic helpers were permitted to change their employment.
