Cheng Ming (Pro-Communist)
Estimated circulation: 6,000
Proprietorship: Owned and published by Mr. WON Fei, a former editor
of Wen Wei Po. He started a newspaper under the same name in 1981.
The paper closed down within a few months. Sources said the closure
came about after China withdrew its financial assistance. A provincial
official in Guangtong who contributed regularly to the magazine was
jailed in China early this year for leaking state secrets.

Proprietorship Jointly owned by The South China Morning Post and Dow Jones with the SCMP holding the controlling interest (51%) while
the Dow Jones the remaining 49 per cent shares. Publisher Mr. Charles
H. Stolbach, is appointed by Dow Jones.
