Informant : VONG NAM SANG
The informant was the minor CII's uncle. The CII was born in China in 1978 and resided at
NA GAN TEAM, NA LIANG HUA QIAO FARM, FANG CHENG XIAN, GUANG XI, CHINA (Am Bb th
那良華侨農場,那在 隊
) since his birth. It was not until' 1-5-90, was he taken by his uncle to Hong Kong Since then, he shared the same itinerary with Group I until his arrival in Hong Kong on 4-5-90.
Additional Information
1.
All of them were landcrossers from HAI NINH to DONG XING (
東興
) of China.
2. They had no knowledge of the following:
(a) the screening policy;
the news that they would be placed on a deserted island after their arrival in Hong Kong.
whether the Sino-Vietnamese border was closed or control tightened.
(b)
the mandatory repatriation;
(c)
(d)
(e)
any other VBP on their way to Hong Kong.
(f) the 'Push-out' policy implemented by the Malaysian Government.
(g) the registration no. of the vessel, personal particulars of its seller and any Chinese
official involved.
3.
Four stopovers in China in which no PRC official was ever met.
4.
Total no. of unaccompanied minors under the age of 18 5 (5B).
5.
No Serviceman/Ex-serviceman/Policeman was reported.
6.
None of them had committed criminal offence in Vietnam
7. They chose to come to Hong Kong because of safety.
