The informant, together with his daughter and a friend, departed HO CHI MINH CITY, S.VN on 23-4-90 by bus. Three days later, they reached HONG GAI and made a 2-day stopover. They headed for HAI NINH on 28-4-90 and crossed the Sino-Vietnamese border via hill paths.
