They
This group of 10 fled DA NANG. C.VN on 27-3-90. They were either relatives or friends. managed to reach BAI MA JING (X) of HAI NAN DAO (17) on 8-4-90 as they had lost
# their way and encountered engine problem' as well. They were examined by PRC officials and stayed 2 days. Thereafter, they sailed across the QIONGZHOU HAI XIA (4) and moved along the coast of
(琼州海峽) South China Sea making two more stopovers at some unknown places. On 20-4-90, they touched DOUMEN (차 (+) where their junk was found no more sea-worthy due to leakage and engine trouble. There, they met another 11 persons (i.e. Group II and III) and contributed a total of RMB $13,000 so as to purchase the exodus junk. The combined group of 21 set off on 23-4-90 and touched Macao on 26-4-90. They resumed their voyage several hours later but had to stop at a deserted island for 3 days for engine repairing. They finally managed to arrive in Hong Kong on 29-4-90.
Group II
Informant : TANG NAM DUONG
These 10 persons departed HO CHI MINH CITY, S.VN on 2-4-90 by train. Three days later, they reached HA NOI where they rested over-night. On 7-4-90, they came to HAI NINH, and proceeded to the Sino- Vietnamese, border in the following morning. They soon arrived at DONG XING ( f) by boat and stayed

A Chinese male called 'HE' () approached them and led them to DOUMEN ) on 20-#-90 upon receipt of RMB $3,000. They then stayed at the ECVII's house at HON QI HUA QIAO FARM (1) since he was the relative of the informant's wife. Later on, they encountered Group I and travelled together until their arrival in Hong Kong on 29-4-90.

The informant was an ECVII. He and his family members migrated to China from VN in 1979. then arranged to settle at HON QI HUA QIAO FARM (13) until he departed with other
(红旗華僑農場)
groups on 23-4-90.
