STATEMENT OF ACTION AND COORDINATION COMMITTEE
IN SUPPORT OF VIETNAMESE REFUGEES
This is an ad hoc group of individuals and organisations concerned about the well-being and basic rights for Vietnamese Refugees in the South East Asia Camps. It is against forced repatriation of any of these asylum seekers.
WHAT WE DO NOT DO
We do not concern ourselves with issues about the refugees in the UK. These are the areas of responsibility of the current
refugee agencies.
WHAT WE AIM TO DO
We aim to have the case of each refugee in Hong Kong properly assessed and the person protected against any threat of ill- treatment, intimidation and actual violence over a long period,
i.e. years, wherever they may go.
METHOD
We welcome contributions in all forms from individuals and organisations in the way of information, professional services (legal, interpretation, social and medical) or resources for lobbying or for liaison work with others.
