VIETNAMESE BOAT PEOPLE: LETTER FROM GREVILLE JANNER QC MP

Greville Janner MP wrote to Geoff Barnes on 8 January following a visit to Hong Kong during which he had seen some of the VBP camps. His main complaint was against the standards of hygiene and sanitation. Alex Fong replied on Geoff's behalf on 2 March, prompting an irate riposte from Mr Janner addressed to Geoff on 14 March. He has sent a copy to the Secretary of State with a covering letter saying:
"I hope you will agree with the view that I have taken on this matter and will do what you can to get some action on it."
2. I should be grateful if you could let me know how you are tackling Mr Janner's letter of 14 March so that we can prepare an appropriate reply from the Secretary of State.
