Argentine response disappointing. Insist on
sovereignty link.
Discrimination against British shipping, air
services, British goods and firms.
WHY NO NEGOTIATIONS ON SOVEREIGNTY?
Invasion destroyed previously good relations:
shattered Islanders' confidence.
Need is to rebuild confidence and restore more
normal relations: realism.
Only solution acceptable to Argentina is transfer of sovereignty irrespective of Islanders' wishes.
