FORTHCOMING VISITS TO THE UK BY MEMBERS OF EXCO

A 1. Mr Maude asked for advice about which of the LegCo

members due to visit the UK this summer he might invite to

call for a chat, in addition to Martin Barrow,

Jimmy McGregor, Selina Chow and David Li.

2. Mr McLaren has recommended Wang Gungwu (ExCo member); I agree with this advice. Mr Maude might also wish to see Leong Che-Hung (a co founder, with Jimmy McGregor) of the Hong Kong Democratic Foundation.

3. I attach for reference biographical details on all the

individuals concerned.
