The Hong Kong Concerns

ii) Hong Kong is not being granted independence. iii) A large proportion of Hong Kong people are either immigrants, refugees or children of refugees from China. Emigration will increase in the 1990s, particularly among professionals and managerial people who number around 320,000, although unlikely to exceed 1-2% of the total workforce per year.
This is a cause for concern, but not panic:

impact in Hong Kong.
