POSSIBLE CALL ON THE PRIME MINISTER BY THE

EXECUTIVE COUNCIL (EXCO)

GOVERNOR AND MEMBERS OF THE

Problem

1. The Governor of Hong Kong has asked if

(a) he and a group of senior ExCo members of could call on

the Prime Minister when they will all be in London for the

Hong Kong Trade Development Council (TDC) Dinner on 6

December.

(b) the Secretary of State could also find time to invite

the group for a meal.

Recommendation

2.

I recommend that

(a) the Prime Minister agrees to see the Governor and ExCo

members collectively.
