May I suggest that if we tell you certain facts which we have obtained from the FCO eg that the Governor's meeting with Lord Caithness is now to be at 1100 hours on 5 December and that Sir Alan Donald may not be in London while the Governor is here

you should rest assured that they are correct. Surely there is no need for you to double check with the FCO unless of course you have reason to believe that we are wrong or incompetent or

both.
