For example, ISD(S) need to be told if the Head of Mission is combining the journey with a routine casual courier run; Security Department must be informed if a Head of Mission intends to travel to or through Communist countries or member states of the Warsaw Pact, or propose to use the ships or airlines of such countries; PSD and/or PPD must be consulted if the trip is other than a purely private

one.
