Delegates to CPA UK Branch Visit to Australia (8th-24th October 1990)

VISIT TO AUSTRALIA, SINGAPORE AND HONG KONG: UPDATE

Some information on your stopover in Singapore is now available, and I thought you might like a brief update. You will be met on arrival at Singapore Changi airport by a member of the High Commission staff, who will escort you to your hotel. That same day, Saturday 6th October, you will be entertained to lunch by Hon Tan Soo Khoon MP, Speaker of the Parliament. Sir Michael Pike KCVO CMG, British High Commissioner in Singapore, will give you lunch on Sunday 7th October.

Turning to Hong Kong, Sir David Wilson KCMG, the Governor, will receive you in the morning of Thursday 25th October, and it is probable that arrangements will be made for you to meet Members of the Legislative Council in the afternoon on the same day.

I think these two stopovers are shaping up as very worthwhile "extras" to the main Australia visit. As soon as I have information on Australia I shall pass it on to you. Meanwhile I am holding some literature on Singapore received by the Singapore High Commission in London, which you may wish to pick up if you are passing this way.
