MAKE OATH AND SAY as follows:-

1. I am

a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales and was

admitted as a solicitor in January 1961.

2. I was uncil 30th April 1990 a partner in the firm of solicitors,

Stephenson Harwood, at One, St. Paul's Churchyard aforesaid and as from

1st May 1990 I have been a consultant with that firm.

My firm was instructed on behalf of the Kuwait Investment Office in

connection with the reference to the Monopolies and Mergers Commission whose report was published in October 1988 and I had specific conduct

of the matter.

During the reference and thereafter I had many meetings with

Sheikh Ali Al-Khalifa Al-Sabah who was then Minister of Oil of Kuwait
