I attach the file about the forthcoming visit to the UK

of Maria Tam. This is a subject in which Mr Galsworthy in Hong Kong has taken a close interest. Mr Lidington has been liaising with Conservative Central Office about a suitable programme for Maria Tam.

Mr Lidington has now given me the name and telephone

number of a contact in Conservative Central Office.

Mr John Earl, the Central Office Agent for Greater London.

Mr Lidington suggests that Miss Tam might participate in a programme, lasting about one day, which included the following elements:

short visits to one or two Greater London

constituencies (lasting an hour or so each) to see how

the Conservative Party Organisation works in practice.

He suggests Wandsworth and Kensington;

- a demonstration of computer software for use in such campaigning activities as advertising, constituency lists etc;
