We spoke on Friday, and you kindly agreed to let me have background material on Sir Y K Pau, whom the Chancellor has agreed to meet on Tuesday 26 June. I understand that the Chancellor has met Sir Y K Pau before (perhaps during his period as Foreign Secretary?) It would also be helpful if you could let us know any other details you might have of Sir Y K Pau's visit eg is he seeing any other Ministers? I would also be grateful if you could provide a line to take on any current Hong Kong issues which you think Sir Y K Pau might raise.
