(a) an extract from the March 1989 International Narcotics
Control Strategy Report produced by the US Department of State's Bureau of International Narcotics Matters, on which we have highlighed the main points;
(b) a statement on Hong Kong's anti-narcotics efforts,
provided by the Hong Kong government to enable the US
government to "certify" Hong Kong despite the absence of a bilateral drugs agreement;
c (c) a record of a meeting between US and Hong Kong officials
which took place earlier this month to discuss money laundering and tracing of assets.
